Our Teen Education Counselors are provided with the opportunity to experience what it is like to work with teens.
Counselors are also supported in their career development with ongoing training, a career roadmap detailing promotional timelines, and key performance indicators.
To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as caring, productive, responsible citizens.
These are some of the additional things you will do as an Education Counselor.
Our Teen Education Counselors run fun and effective activities using established lesson plans.
Develop and nurture strong relationships with youth and teens in our programs.
Create and maintain a safe and positive environment for our community’s teens.
Work alongside school-day teachers (gain experience in developing/delivering educational lesson plans)

This is what your schedule could look like:
This role is part time, with flexible scheduling to accommodate personal life or class schedules.
We always aim for consistent schedules for our staff to promote work-life balance.
Shifts are:
6:30am/7am to 9am/9:30am,
1:30pm to 7pm.

We have great staff that can teach you skills on the job, but there are some traits that will make you more successful as a Teen Education Counselor.
You are a fun, energetic, and excited individual
You want to pursue a career in education and childcare such as: HDFS, CDA, Education, Counseling etc…
You have a passion for building a better community
You have the ability to communicate and cooperate with children, other staff and parents.
Minimum of 21 years or older
As part of our commitment to child and member safety, there are some additional steps that all hires will be asked to complete.
You will need to provide 3 references.
These references should be professional references if you have work experience.
If you don’t have work experience, these references can be any non-family member over the age of 18 who can speak to your character and professionalism.
You will also be asked to complete a drug screen for any illegal substances, background check, and fingerprint check.
